"For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them" (Ephesians 2:10).

"For we are God's own handiwork, recreated in Christ Jesus, that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned ahead) for us, taking paths which He prepared ahead of time, that we should walk in them, living the good life which he prearranged and made ready for us to live" (Ephesians 2:10 Amplified).

This scripture serves as the foundation verse for all of the ministries offered by SouthPointe Church. According to this scripture, Christians are saved to serve others. After salvation, we soon realize that true Christianity is more about others than it is about us. One of the greatest joys in serving in ministry is seeing other people begin a new relationship with Jesus Christ. Serving forces us to focus more on others and their needs and less on ourselves.

Simply stated, God expects every Christian to use their God-given gifts and talents to reach others and to encourage, edify, and develope others in the church to full maturity in Christ. The greatest need for the church today is to release its power through Christians who have a desire to serve others. As we serve , it helps us connect with God in a close, intimate way, and at the same time connects us in close relationships with others.
