A responsible person assumes responsibility for their personal responsibilities. An irresponsible person fails to assume responsibility for their personal responsibilities. Are you a responsible person? Are you fully assuming personal responsibility for your own life? What would the world be like today if everyone assumed responsibility for their own responsibilities? Responsibilities are an integral part of every day life. One of the big problems in our culture today seems to be that people are becoming more and more irresponsible.
Why is this? One reason comes from an old saying that says, 'whatever is rewarded is repeated'. Our culture seems to reward and even celebrate irresponsibility. Irresponsible people tend to blame others when something bad happens. They blame society, their environment, circumstances, parents, the devil, and even God. During the last few years, even the church has been blamed for everything from A to Z.
In this new series, we will take a biblical look at 'The Blame Game". Why do we attempt to blame others for the things we should be taking personal responsibility for?
